A PCP Certificate is awarded to short-term international students and Japanese Language Program students who earn credits for 10 PCP courses.
The 10 courses must include:
Finance, Policy and the Global Economy (FPGE)
Independent Study (IS).
If students can demonstrate to the Faculty of Economics that the content of the courses taken at their home university is equivalent to that of a PCP course, the credit for that course may be counted? toward the PCP Certificate.
Procedure for credit approval:
1. Carefully review the PCP syllabus and identify a PCP course whose content is similar to that of a course you have taken at your home university. The PCP course syllabus is available at Curriculum & Courses.
2. Prepare the following materials for the course?taken at your home university:
(a) Course syllabus clearly indicating the course title, contents. and texts
(b) Transcript
(c) Notes and/or exams
(d) Term papers, if applicable
(e) English translation* of (a) to (d) if the course was not taught in English
* Translations do not need to be certified. The student may translate the materials by themselves.
3. Submit (a) to (e) above to the PCP Office at: pcp-office-group[at]keio.jp.
The PCP office will notify you of the evaluation results by e-mail.
Please submit the necessary documents well in advance to allow sufficient time for evaluation.
