On Thursday, March 19, 2026, the Take-off Rally was held at the ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC).
The Take-off Rally is a graduation event for students about to spread their wings from SFC. It began when the first graduating class of SFC felt that they "wanted to take flight from SFC one last time."
While the event was temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was revived in 2023 thanks to the passion of student volunteers. For this year's event to see off the 2025 graduates, although there was light rain in the early morning, it had completely stopped by the afternoon when students gathered, allowing the event to take place under calm weather conditions.
At the graduation ceremony held first, messages of congratulations were delivered by Dean Kamo of the Faculty of Policy Management, Dean Ichinose of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, and Mr. Yasuharu Hoshino, representative of the SFC Mita-kai. Graduates could be seen listening intently while reflecting on their student lives.
Additionally, the conferral of degrees and the 2025 SFC STUDENT AWARD ceremony were held.
The SFC STUDENT AWARD, supported by the Education Promotion Fund, recognizes individual students or groups worthy of representing SFC for their external activities, on-campus activities, or research activities. This year, five groups consisting of graduate and undergraduate students received awards, and one group was honored at the ceremony on the day. The awards for current students will be presented at the Kick-off Lecture on Monday, April 6.
In addition, a stamp rally was held, and students spent their final moments on campus as they pleased¡ªsharing memories while walking around the campus where they spent their student lives and taking commemorative photos at the photo space set up for the day.
The undergraduate graduation ceremony and graduate school commencement were held on Monday, March 23, at the Hiyoshi Campus.
