ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ (located in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kohei Ito) and nine corporate research members have established the ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ AI Center to lead next-generation AI, holding an opening ceremony on September 24, 2024.
On April 9, 2024, a signing ceremony was held for joint U.S.-Japan research on cutting-edge AI, where ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ announced a partnership with Carnegie Mellon University, a world leader in AI and robotics research. Based on this partnership, the ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ AI Center aims to accelerate research in generative AI for scientific research and the evolution of AI technology by incorporating industry leaders in addition to academic collaboration between the universities.
