The ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ Media Center officially joined HathiTrust in February 2022. HathiTrust is a massive digital library built and operated primarily by university libraries in the United States, based at the University of Michigan. ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ is the first member from Asia. This partnership is expected to bring the following benefits:
Expand the potential for permanent and global use of the approximately 90,000 volumes from the Mita Media Center (ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ Library) collection registered with HathiTrust in 2014, contributing to Japanese studies both in Japan and abroad.
Become a more useful resource for research and education at ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ by utilizing the enhanced features for members of affiliated institutions (such as the full-volume download function).
