This spring, two new exhibition facilities will open on the Mita Campus.

The Fukuzawa Yukichi Memorial ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ History Museum will showcase the history of Fukuzawa and ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡, who greatly advanced Japan's modernization from both academic and private sectors, through numerous historical materials. It will be housed in the Old University Library (an Important Cultural Property), which was completed in 1912.

The ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ Museum Commons is an institution that will serve as a "hub" connecting the cultural property collections spanning diverse fields that ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ has accumulated over its more than 160-year history with the educational and research activities behind them. By creating an environment where the analog and digital merge, it will open ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡'s art and culture to society through exhibitions, events, lectures, research, and digital archives.
