Starting in the 2019 academic year, ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ will launch new Saturday courses for working professionals, the "ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ Mita Open College," at its Mita Campus (Minato-ku, Tokyo).

ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ has a long history and many achievements in lifelong learning and recurrent education, starting with its distance learning program launched in 1948, as well as various courses at the ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ Marunouchi City Campus (ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ MCC) and public lectures held at each campus.

As we enter the era of the 100-year life, universities are expected to contribute to society and engage with their communities in addition to their traditional roles in education and research. These new courses have been established to provide a place for working professionals to re-engage in learning and to meet diverse learning needs that adapt to the changing times.

Founder Yukichi Fukuzawa stated, "Human relations build society." ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ will respond to the various needs of working professionals, such as the desire to "be a student again," "challenge themselves with an unfamiliar field of study," or "meet new people."
