On April 28, 2022 (JST), Times Higher Education (THE) published its 2022 edition ofTHE Impact Rankings.TheTHE Impact Rankingswere first released in 2019 as a way of evaluating universities around the world, with the particular aim of measuring their impact on global societies through their achievements within the United Nation¡¯s ¡°Sustainable Development Goals¡± (SDGs). 1,406 institutions from 106 countries and regions participated in the 2022 rankings, marking the fourth edition of this publication.
ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ achieved top 100 rankings in the world for the following six SDGs.
Goal 1: No Poverty¡¡49th
Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation¡¡41st
Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities¡¡87th
Goal 15: Life on Land¡¡98th
Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions¡¡16th
Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals¡¡94th
Furthermore, ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ was within the 101-200 bracket for the overall global rankings. Out of Japanese universities, ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡ was ranked third behind Hokkaido University (10th) and Kyoto University (19th) and was first among all of Japan's participating private universities.
