Professor Sayako Kanda has been awarded the 60th (2017) Nikkei Prize for Excellent Books in Economic Science, an award co-sponsored by Nikkei Inc. and the Japan Center for Economic Research (JCER), for her book "Shio to Indo" (Salt and India) (Nagoya University Press).
