I work on planning and promoting DX (Digital Transformation) strategies in the field of logistics. Logistics covers a wide range of operations, including trucking, air freight, ocean freight, warehousing, logistics support, and back-office functions, providing numerous opportunities to utilize advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, VR, and drones. Among the various options available, I always strive to approach my work with my own clear perspective on how to generate the maximum possible impact.

Pardon me for talking about a hobby, but I would like to share an experience that serves as the core of my thinking. I have been riding road bikes (racing bicycles) since university and have competed in various races. At first, I trained recklessly by simply riding long distances or pushing my heart rate up, but I didn't really understand what kind of effect it was having, and my results didn't improve much. However, I was able to break through that situation by attaching an advanced technological device called a power meter to my bicycle.

Power meters use sophisticated technology to quantify the force applied to the pedals based on the strain of the metal. The maximum power one can maintain on the pedals for one hour is called FTP (Functional Threshold Power). By looking at this, I can see exactly how much of a power gap exists between myself and top athletes. Furthermore, by using this device, it is possible to analyze the vector of the pedaling force, monitor my physical condition, and even train in virtual spaces. By understanding how much more power I needed to gain to reach my goals and improving the quality of the training itself, I was able to significantly enhance my abilities.

Advanced technology possesses great power, and if used incorrectly, it can have negative impacts. While it is necessary to be sufficiently careful about such things, I believe that thinking about matters only in that context can lead to stagnation rather than action. By utilizing advanced technology, we can achieve things that were previously impossible. By visualizing various factors and performing data analysis, we may be able to uncover new insights and business opportunities. I want to approach my work by focusing on these positive aspects.
